I cannot wait to share with you my favorite images from this amazing twin session where I was Vanessa and Vinnie’s Lifestyle Photographer. I wanted to start out by mentioning that their Mom, Andrea, is what I like to call a “client-turned-friend.” She started off as a client of mine at the salon, we hit it off immediately, and we quickly formed a friendship on top of the typical client relationship. I love when that happens, because it makes lifestyle photography sessions so much more natural and organic; I can seamlessly document your family’s life stages, and instead of it ever being stiff or awkward, everyone is used to me, and the laughter is flowing from the beginning.
Anyway, back to their session. I contacted me about doing a classic diner session for her twins Valentine’s Day photos. I’ve been photographing the twins since Spring 2016, we also do annual family photos for their birthday, as well as Christmas ones. So I when I wanted to do a unique session for them we decided to head over to Red Knapps American Grill in Rochester, Michigan, for a fun themed Valentine’s Day photo shoot.
Red Knapp’s is the perfect diner for a throwback session theme like this, with the black and white checkered flooring, and the 1950’s-esque decor and vibe. Andrea dressed the kiddos perfectly, too. I couldn’t get enough of Vinnie’s red and white Chuck Taylor shoes, or Vanessa’s Mary Jane red shoes and bobby socks. And that leather jacket of Vinnie’s? So cute. I can only take notes from Andrea for the future on how to dress my own son if I ever have one!
I know that this precious diner date of Vanessa and Vinnie was too cute to not share here on the blog, and I hope you enjoyed this small preview into when I was their Michigan Lifestyle Photographer for the day. If you’re in the market for a family photographer, I would love to chat with you and hear about how we can collaborate for your perfect lifestyle photography session.
